The 25-year-old suspect will have to respond to a preliminary investigation on suspicion of stealing a handbag and a mobile phone. Staff at the doctor’s office in Landgraf-Georg-Strasse reported to the police on Wednesday noon (11.8.), around 12.40 p.m., that a runaway man had, among other things, been targeting patients’ handbags. Immediately, a patrol went to the scene and was able to arrest the described man at close range. As it turned out in the course of the investigation, the suspect allegedly got through the open window of the doctor’s office and stole things from it. Law enforcement officers were able to find and secure a handbag and a mobile phone from the detainee. After initiating criminal proceedings and ending police proceedings, the 25-year-old went to a nearby hospital for his safety.
