Adelsheim: Wallet Heist and Money Withdrawal
A 72-year-old woman’s purse was stolen Thursday morning while shopping in Adelsheim. The lady was shopping in a supermarket in “Untere Austraße” at about 9:30 am when she got into a conversation with a young man. This was supposed to be a diversionary maneuver so that his companion could steal the elderly woman’s purse from her purse unnoticed. Shortly thereafter, the culprit couple may have gone straight to a bank ATM on Marktstrasse in Adelsheim. There, cash was withdrawn from the 72-year-old’s accounts. The man is described as approximately 23 years old and was wearing a green jacket, black pants, no jeans and a blue medical mask. His short beard can be seen, underneath. The companion is said to be about 1.55 meters tall and her dark hair is worn in a ponytail.
Witnesses who have shown suspicious perceptions, especially in the supermarket or near the bank, or who can provide information about the people they are looking for, are asked to report to the Adelsheim Police Station, tel. 06291 648770.
