The doctor removes the cell phone from the man’s stomach

Gastroenterologist Skender Telaku had to deal with a medical condition that was very exceptional. At the clinic in Pristina, a 33-year-old man reported that he had swallowed a cell phone, which the doctor also confirmed by x-ray. The man said the phone had been in his stomach for four days.

Tilako asked himself how he could remove the Nokia phone from the patient’s body in a minimally invasive way. He decided to dismantle the mobile phone in the patient’s abdomen. This enabled him to endoscopically remove the phone through the esophagus without having to make an incision in the abdomen.

The doctor describes the pledge on Facebook saying: “There are no complications.” How and why the mobile phone, which was made at the turn of the millennium, got into the body is currently not entirely clear.
