Joe Ziegler, Riot Games Director the braveQuit the game to work on something new. In an article on Riot Games, Ziegler announced his decision after eight years of working on the popular competitive shooter, including a year after the official launch.
In the post, he expressed his gratitude to fans and teammates by handing the wand to his successor:
“After eight years working on Valorant, and building it from the ground up with a team of dedicated and enthusiastic developers who have worked tirelessly to serve you all with the respect and admiration you deserve, I am relinquishing the mantle of Valorant tac-shooter manager to my dear friend, Andy Hu [senior director of game direction at Riot]. «
Ziggler’s next destination is one to guess, though it will always be Riot. As we know, Riot has a lot of irons on fire, a lot that we don’t know about yet. But either way, the change of direction is an interesting development for a game that has been on fire since its official release a year ago. What this means for the game must also be guessed.
Riot has been in the headlines a lot lately, especially after its discrimination lawsuit against it was settled. Despite this, his games are still very popular, and even his entry into animation received positive reviews. Riot seems to be a booming business now.
Valorant is now available on PC.
