The Elder Scrolls Castles: A Mobile Game Like Fallout Shelter Is Coming Soon! | Xbox

Back in September, Bethesda announced The Elder Scrolls: Castles , a mobile game that’s very similar to Fallout Shelter but set in a world under another popular license from the publisher. After entering Early Access, the title is today giving the developer a big new trailer, a chance to communicate a release date.

The Elder Scrolls: Castles Gets a Release Date

Created by Craig Lafferty and Véronique Bruneau, The Elder Scrolls: Castles is described as a spiritual successor to Fallout Shelter, but immersed in the rich and fascinating world of The Elder Scrolls. Designed to be accessible and entertaining, Castles invites players to rule a castle and make many decisions as a king, with a pace of play where each day actually corresponds to an in-game year and each choice has a lasting impact on the kingdom.

Castle customization is a key aspect of the game, giving players the ability to change the look and decor of their estate at any time. Each decision not only impacts the aesthetics of the castle, but also the overall success of the dynasty. Bethesda promises great flexibility in managing themes, with a decree system that has been tweaked to be simple and engaging. Each character in the game has specific strengths and weaknesses, and the decisions players make can instantly impact the happiness and loyalty of their subjects.

The game also includes quest and combat elements, where players will be able to send their subjects outside the castle to gather resources and face off against creatures of The Elder Scrolls. The combat system is designed to be simple, yet strategic, with more attractive rewards for those who master the objectives of each mission. A Roguelike mode will also be available, providing an additional challenge with waves of increasingly difficult enemies and unique magic to push players further.

Bethesda also announced that the launch of The Elder Scrolls: Castles will be just the beginning of the adventure. Several updates are planned to enrich the gaming experience over time, ensuring players stay engaged for the long term. Pre-registration is already open, offering exclusive rewards, and the developers say they can’t wait to see what races players will create.

The Elder Scrolls: Castles will be available on September 10 on iOS and Android.
