Windows 11: Connected Mobile brings these improvements to the Start menu.

After a major 24-hour update, Microsoft is preparing a great new feature for users of Windows 11 devices. The new version of Connected Mobile has additional options for testing.

Connected mobile phone provides new features in the Start menu

Among the new features we find “Send to phone”, “Unlock connected mobile phone”, “Unlock phone screen”, “Customize recent activity” and “Startup Settings”. These options complement already existing features that allow access to the smartphone's battery status, messages, calls, and photos from the Start menu, whether for Android or iOS smartphones.

Microsoft is not finished with Windows 11, and even if the operating system is installed on fewer devices running Windows 10, even if the former ousts the latter among gamers, the Redmond company is gradually moving towards its adoption. This includes adding new features such as improving Connected Mobile in particular.

At the present time, we do not know when all users will benefit from these new features or how many updates will come with them. However, it should be noted that since these features are under testing, there is a good chance they will be rolled out in the coming months to users running Windows 11. Future updates to Microsoft's operating system remain to be monitored.

With the Link with Windows (Your Phone) app, you'll be able to use your Android smartphone directly from your Windows PC. You will be able to send SMS and answer calls directly from your computer.
