Keeping bills digitally, there are definitely some interesting solutions for this already and Google has also released a new Android app for this. Basically, Google has had such functionality in Google Drive for a long time, but not quite as defined and thus without the “cool stuff”. Stack has a different, simpler approach and specifically wants your portable document organizer to be on your smartphone.
Officially, the app is initially a test run from Google developer labs (region 120). So, at least from the Google Play Store, there is still no download for German users. Hopefully, that will change at some point, because Stack appears to be very useful. If you already know or are even using a similar Android alternative, please share it with us in the comments below!
Bills and other documents in one place and sort them
Stack is basically a scanner that uses a smartphone’s camera for this. You shoot invoices, receipts, and other documents, which you can sort accordingly within the app. Since text recognition is also included, important document components can be copied with the click of a button. About the invoice amount. Other Google apps actually offer all of these possibilities, but mostly in a different context.
Stack does not reinvent the wheel. Instead, the practical or useful elements are grouped into an application for a particular application. I myself have scanned invoices and similar documents on Google Drive for the past few years and saved there. Classification is done as provided by Stack manually and classically with folders.
Of course, Stack also has a backup function for which Google Drive is used. So 15 GB can be used for free, and it costs more money with Google One.
