A boat trip with experts from the Astronomical Observatory to observe the 'shooting stars' of August

Three-hour night boat cruises with astronomy lessons, stargazing on romantic summer evenings, and a chance to see August's 'Shooting Stars' Perseids. It is an initiative born from the collaboration between the Mare Consortium between Liguria (providing motor ships) and the Astronomical Observatory of Genoa (Oc) via the Superior Gaso in Sestri Pontende.

There are several dates that you can read on the poster below the article: 9, 10, 11 and 12 August, departing from Porto Antico at 9.30pm.

After a brief explanation through a screen projection and simulation program of the apparent movements of the celestial vault, we will observe the sky to identify the cardinal points, planets, and major constellations. Thanks to the experts at the Astronomical Observatory of Genoa for their legends and the characteristics of some celestial bodies. On the evening of August 9th, the Melody on Time trio will take part in the night sky, enchanted by music, inspired by stories, and bring to light the stories of ancient traditions hidden between the stars. To participate, reservations must be made on site www.liguriaviamare.it
