A teacher from Clos-Chassaing College, in Périgueux, organized a giant treasure hunt in the city at the end of the year for her students in Latin and Greek
For the first time, pupils of Clos-Chassaing College, in Périgueux (Dordogne), were able to organize a very special kind of march. Their teacher Sabrina Piccard envisioned the treasure hunt that packed them up on Friday, May 28.
48 students from 4e And 3e So students of Greek or Latin have invested the city in this outdoor test. “In the beginning, the idea was to go for treasure,” explains Sabrina Pickard. Little by little, I created tests from lessons and then added “Fort Boyard” style challenges, mixing reflection and speed. “
In perfect weather, Périgueux’s seven teams spread out after mysteries that led them to various key points in the city, under the direction of seven adults. “Flawlessly gone, congratulate the professor. All the students played all the time and got scared in the city.”
A meridian break features a stroll through the square, before a guided tour of the cathedral. For Sabrina Picard, the mission was successful: “We always talk about dead languages, but there I wanted to revive ancient languages in a different way, and for the pupils to leave the classroom a little bit.”
