- County archives of Maine and Loire
It will be a particularly rich day on a Saturday for the Maine-et-Loire Administrative Archives. In the morning, Roslyn Bachelo, Minister of Culture, and Florence Dabin, Head of Department, will open the works of the expansions of this well-known site to fans of history and genealogy. Roslyn Bachelot will also take the opportunity to hand over a 15th-century manuscript to the Administrative Archives, which the state has commissioned to preserve.
In the afternoon, make way for the fun and varied activities of the general public!
Section archives will be exceptionally open to share this moment with as many people as possible from 2pm to 5pm.
The activities offered are as follows:
- Exceptional visit to the new preservation stores
- Presentation of “The Book of Hours by Anne de Mellon”, founder of the Hôtel-Dieu de Baugé, a 15th century manuscript Commissioned by the state
- Virtual tour of the archives With 360-degree video and a virtual reality headset
- To see the archive, Children will be able to participate in a model building workshop for conservation stores, calligraphy workshop or painting competition
- looking for the treasure With the famous Angevin archive operator Célestin Port (bring a smartphone)
- Discover the reading room in the archives
