At Annonay, we love hot air balloons so much that we’ve decided to dedicate two parties to it this year.
The City of Annonay and the Heritage Association Les Montgolfières d’Annonay (LMA) are responsible. Saturday 4 June, 11:30 a.m., at the Place des Cordeliers, you can attend the conference for free Reconstruction of the first hot air balloon flight after nearly 239 years of great public display before the States of Vivari.
Dozens of LMA volunteers will dress in period costumes and provide a theatrical yet faithful representation of this historic moment in aviation history.
Saturday 2 July and Sunday 3 July, between 3 and 7 p.m., the City of Anunnai, in association with the hot air balloon world and cultural players in North Ardesh, presents the first hot air balloon festival. Details of the meeting will be clarified over the weeks but several events have already been announced. Open musical theatre, kites, introduction to virtual reality (with glasses) and rides.
Hot air ballooning will be explored in its various aspects with captive flights, ground envelope access, night light show (night glow) as well as mini hot air balloon workshops…
