Apple will set up a new computer. And it will be mighty

According to the information that our colleagues obtained from 9to5Mac, Apple will have in its packaging a file new machine. With this device, it will fill the void in the stable of Mac hardware, left between the Mac Pro and the Mac mini. These rumors confirm the old rumors that already mentioned the existence of a lighter Mac Pro project.

It will have the codename, internally, J375. It appears to be assigned to the general public as follows: Mac studio.

Then we imagine this device as a clever combination of the features of the Mac Pro, with some flexibility in terms of changing components, and the Mac mini, which is appreciated for its… mini format!

Obviously, this Mac studio will come with a chip silicon apple. The integrated SoC reference will obviously depend on the monster’s output window. According to the source, there are two versions of Mac Studio currently in development, one with the M1 Max chip, and the other with the next generation Apple silicon chip (M2 Max?).

And to back up all this, another rumor was recently added to the file, a new screen. Apple will already be setting up an external 7K display in its labs, with a name already in place: Apple Studio.

It would make sense for this external monitor and the new Mac Studio to be introduced together, to make a “Studio” workstation worthy of the name.

Still, the output of the binary Currently unknown. It could happen in the coming months, possibly before the end of 2022. According to analysts familiar with the matter, the launch of the Mac studio will allow Apple to keep users, especially the professional audience, waiting for the Mac Pro update and its expected transition to the Apple silicon platform.

We imagine, for our part, that Mac Studio and its screen will be presented at the upcoming WWDC, for its fall release.

We’ll be surprised to hear about it next Tuesday. Even if the conference is called “Performance Peek” (= see high performance), it should focus on the new iPhone SE and iPad Air.
