What do you spend the whole day or evening there because the place is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from morning to evening.

Idea from the United States

We want to gather all generations in the same place. It’s a concept that comes from the United States and we’ve decided to adapt to it in Europe. Lawrence Szirard, director of communications for Hall U Need, confirms that people who have seen it have really liked this place.

Previous exhibition venues, Halls de la Filature has been completely changed by the arrival of this new concept launched by Cyril Barina. In 2015, this northern businessman decided to embark on an adventure by wondering how his daughter occupied the weekends. After several months of searching, he found the right place and invested at least 4.2 million euros to create this new structure that can accommodate up to 1,650 people, excluding health restrictions.

“Make it an emblematic place in Hauts-de-France”

“The goal is really to make it an emblematic place in Hauts-de-France. Between the versatility of activities and the original decoration, this place is not found anywhere else”, continues Lawrence Zirard. Initially scheduled for 2020, the opening was postponed by a year due to Covid.

From June 9, the 40 Hall U Need employees hope to make up for lost time and quickly draw the audience into this massive venue waiting to be filled.
