WhatsApp, which allows you to receive messages from all over the world, has more than 2 billion users worldwide. From May 31, it will not be compatible with some mobile phones which are old Android and IOS versions.
It’s official, WhatsApp is evolving. However, this new version will leave some users on the sidelines, as it will not be compatible with older versions of Android and iOS for your smartphones.
If your phone is old, it is possible that WhatsApp is no longer working. For other models, the app has dropped support for versions older than Android 4.1 or iOS 10. So, if it is already installed on your mobile, WhatsApp may still work but with some crashes.
Here is a list of smartphones that WhatsApp will not support on an earlier version of iOS or Android:

How do you know if your smartphone is affected?
To check that your phone has the correct version to continue using WhatsApp Messenger, you have to do some manipulation, in the settings of your Android or iOS smartphone. For iPhones, you will have to go to Menu, then to Settings, and then to Information. Your software version is displayed on the screen. For Android users, you will need to go to Samsung Settings and tap on “System”, then “System Update”. The Android version will appear on the screen of your smartphone.
To update your Android smartphone, just go to your mobile settings. Go to the “Settings” app, then “System”, then “Advanced Settings”. Finally, click on System Update to check for and download a possible update.
If you have an iPhone and need to update your operating system, back up your phone data to iCloud. Connect your iPhone to its mains charger and connect it to WI-FI. Tap the Settings app on the iPhone. Then go to the “General” menu.
Then go to “Software Update” and press “Download and Install”. You will get the latest iOS update.
