At the Cora hypermarket in Andelnans, I had a vaccination all day Friday. An initiative established by the ARS and the Governor of Balfour County, which coincides with an increase in the infection rate in the department. “The trend is worrying, the infection rate has exceeded 300 per 100,000 inhabitants. In the Nord-Franch-Comte Hospital, there are 37 patients, of whom 11 are in intensive care due to Covid,” explained Christophe Dufferne, Chief of Staff of the Governor, who went to Cora for the occasion.
Reassure the skeptics and win back the opportunists
Everything happens as in a traditional vaccination center, except that there are no appointments. All you have to do is address the nursing staff in front of the mobile immunization unit. The purpose of this type of vaccination center is to allow opportunists to get vaccinated. “There is no meeting, it is spontaneous,” says Christophe Duverne. “Getting the vaccine in a small center like this also helps reassure even the most skeptical,” adds Sandrine Marchetti, the regional delegate for the Rehabilitation Society in Syria.
The initiative seems to be rather effective, in one day about sixty people were vaccinated, like Carol: “I came to do the shopping and saw that it was possible to get vaccinated. I hesitated to go there for some time but could not find a place. I took the opportunity.”
See you on August 26th at Auchan in Bessoncourt
“This type of operation will be repeated and relieve vaccination centers and hospitals,” assures Christophe Duverne. The mobile vaccination unit will be located in Auchan in Bessoncourt on August 26. In the future, vaccination will expand further, says Sandrine Marchetti: “The goal is to go to precarious facilities at the beginning of the school year and especially to go to high schools and colleges to allow young people to be vaccinated.”
