It was revealed some time ago by the developers of Toys for Pop that Crash Bandicoot 5 was in development, but was later canceled by Activision, and the matter is confirmed in this documentary featuring various testimonies from the series' creators. .

The fifth episode of the series should have provided the main setting for the return of the Academy of Evil, except for the reappearance of Uga Uga, previously seen in Crash Bandicoot: Corrupted and Visible, in fact, in the secret ending of Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time.

A strange encounter

It appears that Toys for Pop has worked exclusively on the game for at least a few months, without reaching full production in 2020. Unfortunately, Activision Canceled the plan Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time didn't achieve the expected results, and Call of Duty wanted to push itself above all else in the production.

After Microsoft's Activision Blizzard acquisition, as we've seen, Toys for Pop has become independent again and is now collaborating with Xbox on a new game, about which we await more information.
