With large numbers of spectators flocking to the festivals and sporting events, they present real challenges for operators who must ensure good connectivity so they can share their experiences and communicate. Three festivals this week are seeing temporary installations to boost the free mobile network.
At Rock-en-Seine and for the V-and-B Fest, two trucks equipped with mobile antennas were deployed by operator Xavier Niel. They are supported by 10Gb/s fiber optics allowing optimal traffic. The configuration has also evolved in two sectors to offer 4×4 mimo and on-board frequencies Frequencies 900MHz (3G), 700/1800/2100/2600MHz (4G) and 700/3500MHz (5G)). In some cases, the operator deploys temporary towers, as in the case of the Toque Beach Music Festival.
