Freebox and Free Mobile: Free iPhone app adds Face ID and Touch ID

Today Free presents an update to its application of the same name which allows you to consult the Freebox or Free Mobile subscriber area as the case may be.

With version 2.1 of the free app, it is possible to log in more easily using Face ID (face recognition) or Touch ID (fingerprint sensor) if you have an older iPhone. To do this, simply open the app, go to the “Settings” tab and then enable the “Biometrics” option. The app then asks you to enter the password for your free customer area. Once this is verified, the connection using Face ID or Touch ID is activated.

Meanwhile, the update brings new access to free mobile support.

For those who don't know, the free app offers several features:

  • The Invoice tab allows you to view and download a history of your last 12 invoices.
  • For complete control of your consumption, the “Consumption” tab provides real-time visibility into the use of your Internet envelope, your calls and your SMS/MMS messages, both in France and abroad.
  • Finally, the “My Account” tab brings together various features that allow you to manage your lines (such as changing offers, requesting a new line or linking a mobile line to the Freebox) as well as consulting and modifying your personal information (postal address, email address, username, etc.).
