The seventh edition of Friendly Fire ended late at night from Saturday to Sunday, December 5, 2021. After an exciting twelve hours, the result of the donation from Friendly Fire 7 was – at least – almost certain. There is also money from sponsors, auctions, and merchandise sales. It will take some time for the final donation amount to be determined. Finally, co-organizer Mikkel Ruprahn confirmed that at least €600,000 could be added to the donation amount from the stream.
It topped last year, just over two million
Even if the €2 million mark for charity is, of course, just a token mark, in the end it seems a shame that in all probability it looks hardly enough. However: with more than 1.8 million euros, the record, which has been exceeded every year so far, is set again with the help of spectators and sponsors.
For Friendly Fire 6 in 2020, it was €1,654,548, according to the final bill including all donations. This brand definitely made it in 2021. This staggering amount will benefit a total of eight organizations and projects for the good cause, which we’ll list again below:
Of course friendly fire should continue next year. Although participants and organizers have repeatedly emphasized that a new donation history is not important and that every euro counts, it was now supposed to awaken the ambition to cross the two million mark in Friendly Fire 8 in 2022. After all, that would be more money for a good cause. . If we look at the previous development of the project that was planned and implemented annually by several German content creators and creators, nothing should stand in the way of this goal.
