Digitally produced art by Ute Kirchhof can be seen at Herrsching Town Hall. How “painted” pictures.
Artist Ute Kirchhof is currently exhibiting her work in the meeting room of Herrsching City Hall. The exhibition can be visited until February 28 by appointment (tel. 08152 / 374-22). According to the municipality, Ute Kirchhof is a digital artist and art historian who has been involved in computer art since 2009. Her digital art is based on encrypted information, which she creates using image software, filtering, and plotting from her own digital image or “freehand drawing” on a computer. She sees her art as the transformation of digital photography from pure representation to artistic transformation and abstraction to a different expressive level of observation and experience. Kirchhoff established his own style of “digital image abstraction”.
Extensive edits that are no longer repeatable result in entirely new compositions. The base image becomes a stand-alone digital artwork that can be achieved on a variety of substrates using proprietary printing techniques. (if)
