- First, the update disaster.
- Then the late updates.
- The mood is bad when it comes to the Pixel 6.
Google is slowly facing a really big problem in terms of its external image. The Pixel 6 Pro and its slightly smaller sibling are no longer receiving that well. The background is the many bugs we’ve also been reporting in the past few months. It’s the same with some colleagues, including the world famous Marquis Brownlee. The popular YouTuber has more than 20 million followers on YouTube, Twitter, Co.
Compensatory updates released
Google Pixel 6: More and more are moving away
He also reports big mistakeswhich is no longer forgiving. It can no longer only do Pixel 6 Pro do not recommend, it has reverted to an older device a long time ago. “Combined with the latest failed update, it delivers a poor experience,” he says of the Pixel 6 Pro as is.
The problem with Google, of course, is that more and more fans with a broadband are turning away from the current Pixel phones. And they do it publicly. The good reputation that both devices enjoyed upon their release began to crumble more and more. I’m currently using a Pixel 6 with the November update. The two forms with the December patch were partially unusable for me – lots of bugs.
The Pixel 6 Pro has been buggy sluggish since its October launch and I can no longer recommend it at $900. Besides the last failed update, it was a bad experience. My SIM card is back on the S21 Ultra until the next revision.

DISCONTINUE PIXEL 6! – Google no longer offers December update
Known and common issues On the other hand, there is a very weak mobile phone reception, but there are also problems with bluetooth. My Pixel 6 Pro sometimes comes out of standby with a blank screen, Pixel 6 always (!) has a choppy start to the camera. Google has even discontinued the Assistant’s functionality due to the errors that occurred.
Will the Pixel 6a also have issues?
The current situation is bad. Google urgently needs to get its problems under control, and not just because of the currently available templates. In the long run, there may also be delays with the upcoming Pixel 6a, which will likely also come with Google Tensor.
In any case, Android 12 and the first proprietary processor from Google presents the smartphone department with challenges that are not easy to get rid of. However, in late January, the recovery update should be rolled out. Hopefully, we keep our fingers crossed.
