Halo Infinite Season 2: postponed hangar, maps, game modes… all the details! | Xbox One

infinite aura It’s been available for a few months already, but the anger about it keeps reeling. And for good reason, the game came out incomplete, whether due to the lack of campaign cooperation, or the extremely limited number of maps and game modes. 343 Industries returned today to determine the content for the next two seasons.

343 Highest Industrial Priority

First of all, the developers made it clear that the studio’s first priority is to take care of the health of the teams and avoid the crisis. So they realize that in recent months they have been slower than they thought, and therefore they thank the players for their patience.

At the same time, in terms of the game, the most important thing, of course, is to fix critical problems. Thus, in their “hot list”, one of the most well-known problems is the development of Spartans. In less well-known, we can mention in particular the weaknesses in the fight against cheating, or all the difficulties that players encountered in Big Team Battle a few weeks ago.

Today, the priorities for this popular hot list are player progression, campaign cooperation, and Forge mode. Hopefully this list will be empty in a few months!

Season 2 has been revealed with new maps and modes

Heading into Season 2, which begins May 3, 343 Industries is proud to announce its name: “Lone Wolves.”

By “theme” we mean a central idea that guides the creation of much, but not all, of the season’s content. Lonely wolves are hunters. Trackers. They are adept improvisations, operating in enemy territory without supplies or support. They are fierce, serious and prefer to work alone, but remain loyal to the Spartan pack.

We can thus benefit from a concept with Spartan Sigrid Eklund on the left and Spartan Hieu Dinh on the right. These customization items should be unlockable in Season 2 as we get to spend more time with Spartan Laurette Agryna (from the Academy) with a mix of cinema, story-themed events, Battle Pass items and more, Lone embodying the wolves theme.

This second season will also sign the arrival of a new breaking event. After Tenrai in the first part, 343 Industries gives the first look at the unlockable shield in the second.

Of course, what interests players the most is the arrival of new cards and new game modes!

  • Two new cards:
    • Arena: Catalyst.
    • Big Team Battle: Breaker.
  • Three new game modes:
    • Another Spartan lead: every man for himself, but elimination style.
    • Land Grab: A new mode that we don’t know about yet.
    • King of the Hill: an epic iconic mode where you have to stay in an area to score points, but this time the mode will be revisited!

It looks like more content will be added during the season due to the phrase change:

In Season 2, we’ll also feature playlist updates, balance changes, new modes, and new maps, including an arena map called “Catalyst” and a BTB map called “Breaker”.

The developers will share many more details at least in April about the maps, modes, customization options, and narrative content.

La Forge is still planned for a third season, but the collaboration is still postponed…

Bad tidings for those who were waiting for the arrival of cooperation to start the campaign, it will take longer than expected. It was originally planned to be released, then for the second season, then it was postponed for 3 months, it was postponed again …

The developers explained that they are unable to deliver it as of May 3 for two reasons. They want to make sure it works 4-way online, and when it comes to 2-way split screen, they still run into some problems in the open part of the campaign. Remember, however, that this will be available on both Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S and PC.

So the online collaboration is still slated for a second season, but not for release, while a split-screen trial is coming at a later date.

In regards to Forge, the teams are making good progress in this area and should be able to offer them to launch Season 3. And that, at least, is the goal of 343 Industries, which is already actively engaged in Season 3. A chance to test this popular and highly anticipated Forge.

To keep you waiting until Season 2, next Tuesday you can discover an all-new Halo Infinite event with “Tactical Ops” that will introduce a full suite of Tactical Slayer variants. Thus it will be possible to win bonuses related to the Mark VII core.
