Honor updates at least MagicBooks on AMD

Honor has quietly revealed AMD’s 14 and 15-inch MagicBooks versions. The chassis does not evolve compared to the Intel version, which has not developed much either. We still find the retractable HD webcam at the level of the function keys, the old USB 2.0 connector and a USB-C 3.2 port that also serves as a charging port. Only wifi 6 gives a touch of modernity to these MagicBooks.

Inside, Honor has opted for an AMD Ryzen 5 5500U processor equipped with 6 interlocked cores with only a 15W thermal shell, however, the Chinese manufacturer is shy on the amount of RAM with 8GB allotted to the MagicBooks. The MagicBook 14 even has a 256GB SSD, which is a bit less capacity in 2022. For its part, the MagicBook 15 houses a 512GB SSD. The FullView display has less exciting features than its name suggests. For both formats, it is an IPS panel that displays 1920 x 1080 pixels with a brightness of 300 cd / m².

AMD MagicBook 14 and 15 are already available from Honor for pre-order, priced at €749 for the 14-inch screen and €799 for the 15-inch screen. Slightly higher prices that allow Honor to offer promotions regularly to make it more attractive, like Huawei and MateBook D 15.
