Racing players can finally drift, boost, jump and… crash on the famous orange Hot Wheels racetracks! The title features unique single-player modes, including Hot Wheels City Rumble, where players face races, time challenges, and boss battles to expand their collection of unique vehicles and track pieces. In multiplayer races, racing fans can challenge themselves with up to twelve players online (from day one including cross-play across consoles from the same console family) or in pairs in offline split-screen mode.
The grid will feature 66 vehicles, including Hot Wheels’ most iconic original designs from the brand’s 53-year history such as the Boneshaker™, Rodger Dodger™ and Twin Mill™. There are also pop culture car icons like DC™’s Batmobile, Party Wagon from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Snoopy from Peanuts, Time Machine from Universal Pictures, Amblin Entertainment’s Back to the Future, NBC’s Knight Rider’s KITT, and vehicles from OEMs like AUDI and Ford, Honda, and many others.
Each vehicle has specialized attributes and rarity levels that can be upgraded in the game. The Racing Team Editor also provides the option to customize vehicles from original Hot Wheels designs and original vehicle brands. Players can also upload these unique creations or download other designs from the community.
Hot Wheels Unleashed™ Six environments, each with their own immersive game world: Garage, Skyscraper, College Campus, Skatepark, Track Room (a special level designed to demonstrate the creative freedom of the Track Builder feature) and The Basement, a room that players can customize: Furniture and accessories with hundreds of Customization options are waiting to be rearranged and individualized.
Track Builder is a unique feature that Milestone developers used to create game tracks themselves. The functionality allows players to create an infinite number of racetrack variations through different track building blocks. More than 20 units are available at launch, including the T-Rex Escape, Spider Ambush and Hungry Cobra. The track creator also gives players the option to share their creations within the game or download tracks from other players for fun.
The competition on the track remains exciting: players can constantly access new content for Hot Wheels Unleashed™ Be happy! The content plan will include other vehicles from popular brands such as Street Fighter™, Masters of the Universe™, DC and Barbie™, and car brands with a racing tradition such as Aston Martin, BMW and McLaren™.
In addition, free and premium DLC packs are released at regular intervals, which contain vehicles, tracking building units, customization items, and exclusive themed expansion sets with new environments. Players will also have the opportunity to participate in racing seasons or take on time-limited challenges with new vehicles and special rewards.
HOT WHEELS™ Pass Vol.1 contains ten vehicles, three customization packs, and three track building units as well as the HOT WHEELS™ Batman expansion. Passages Volume 2 and Volume 3 will be announced at a later time.
