On Thursday, the first mobile aquatic centre in Corsica was inaugurated at the Claude Papi stadium in Portivecgue (southern Corsica).

The event was attended by Jean-Christophe Angelini, mayor of the city, as well as the rector of the Academy of Corsica. The mayors of Bonifazio, Jean-Charles Orsucci, Figari, Jean-Giuseppe, Sotta, Jean-Marc Serra, and Pianottoli, Charles-Henri Bianconi, were also present, accompanied by elected officials of the community and the municipalities.
It is a mobile swimming pool that will pass through the area and will allow approximately 830 pupils (from the large section of kindergarten to CE1) to benefit from swimming sessions. After renting this building last spring, it was taken over by the CCSC.

The cost of the operation was set at around 660,000 euros, with 40% financed by the National Sports Agency, 40% by the CDC and 20% by the community of municipalities.
