“It looks like Asensio’s goal came out of a video game.”

Defender Dani Carvajal gave his impressions after Real Madrid’s victory over Alaves in La Liga on Saturday.

3-0 victory: “The team needed to regain some feeling after that defeat in the Champions League. It was a fair victory. In the first 45 minutes the opponent’s energy was high, but in the end they left more ‘spaces’.

Penalty kick in Paris. “The team was not good in Paris, my decisions were not the best, but I am very calm. The coach trusted me today after this match, so it is very much appreciated.”

Critics after PSG: “At this club, we live by everything. We dealt with criticism in a constructive and positive way, and we are now thinking about the match going back.”

Good second half tonight: “In the second half we were better and that’s why the goals came. The coach told us in the break to be bolder in attack and that’s what we did.”

Asensio’s goal: “Marco got us used to these great goals. The 2-0 goal looks like it came from a video game. But I see them training every day and I wasn’t surprised.”

Audience whistles: “The whistles are not new, in this stadium it is the maximum requirement, they all ask us to win, we are used to it and in the second half they gave us more to win.”
