Lucasfilm Games announces the new Star Wars

New Lucasfilm Games, which was introduced just a few days ago and will be the official identity for all future Lucasfilm games, announced a new Star Wars video game on Wednesday, January 13, 2021.

This will be created in collaboration with Ubisoft and Ubisoft’s associated studio Massive Entertainment, according to the official announcement. The all-new adventure is supposed to focus on an open world of gameplay and intense storytelling, and officials have already notified us about it now.

Star Wars game bekommt „Big Bang“

As mentioned in the corresponding message on the Star Wars homepage, the Star Wars game universe will soon have a “Big Bang”. Nobody can say exactly what this means. Ubisoft and Massive’s new adventure is perhaps just the beginning of many new products in the games. Lately, Star Wars fans have already enjoyed high-end titles like “Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order” and “Star Wars: Squadrons”.

Lucasfilm Games Vice President Douglas Riley is quoted as saying about the plans:

“We have a lot of things that we are ready to share with the masses because we are working behind the scenes for this moment.”

The said moment is the moment when Lucasfilm Games now opens the doors for many developers. So it is said that you want to work with first-class teams who want to create great games about Star Wars IP. At Lucasfilm Games, you have a team of professionals who can work with developers, shaping stories, designs and games, Riley continues. The new games are designed to resonate with fans and span a range of platforms and genres.

Ubisoft’s new Star Wars game

An example of this coveted collaboration is the new open world adventure in collaboration with Ubisoft and Massive. This type of movie is fulfilling a huge demand from the fans, who now want to present it and which should come to life in the Swedish studio in Malmö.

Riley continues:

“We are very excited about the opportunity to work with the Massive team led by David Boldfield and Creative Director Julian Geretti. We have now spent nearly a year getting to know them and figure out what they really want to develop. [Massive Entertainment]. I think we’re really excited to see where this project is headed because they have a unique vision for the story and the game that they want to present. “

Of course, Ubisoft and Massive are known for their expertise in developing immersive worlds, expanding the frontiers of technology, and using the Snowdrop Engine. Moreover, we know fans will love to plunge into alien worlds as well as get kidnapped in the Star Wars galaxy. It’s fun to imagine how these things could move through the detailed environments and what the team could do in Massive in Star Wars in general if they brought their innovative spirit and commitment to quality to the table.

Don’t worry, dear EA fans

Riley also takes fear from fans of EA-created Star Wars games. Accordingly, Electronic Arts should continue to play an important role when it comes to new Star Wars titles. It confirms that you are proud of the games you have already created with EA.

They will continue to work with the company and the relationship is stronger than ever. Although not many details are mentioned at the moment, fans can be sure that they are implementing a “number of projects” with the teams at EA.

More announcements will follow in the future. Just yesterday, Tuesday, Bethesda announced a new Indiana Jones game, which is also being developed in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games:
