
By the end of 2027, 5G subscriptions are expected to reach 4.4 billion worldwide, according to the latest Ericsson Mobility Report, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary. Service providers continue to adopt 5G and more than 180 of them have launched commercial 5G services around the world.

Higher demand than expected
According to Ericsson, this development is due to stronger than expected demand in China and North America, in particular due to lower prices for 5G devices.
