Here we are again for a new season at Europa Park. Thursday morning during a press conference, the Mac family presented (among other things) what will await visitors to the theme park. In addition to new restaurants, including one unique in the world, hotels or outdoor slides in Rulantica, the watery part of the park, it is the new attraction of the Austrian region that should entice visitors.
Josefina and Her Magical Voyage offers a family boat trip on the theme of Empress Sissi, with a princess in a white dress, a lakefront attraction to discover water games and a secret garden. This boat trip replaces the popular jungle boats. Another new innovation is the False Fenways fountain show by the Alsatian company Aquatique Show, with water jets from a height of 40 metres, combining water, light and music.
Finally, aboard the “Alpenexpress Coastiality” attraction, visitors will be able to discover “Amber Blake, The Chase”, the virtual reality adventure of the comic story “Amber Blake: Operation Dragonfly” created by Belgian model Jade Lagardère. This will immerse participants in a 30-minute interactive spy thriller available this summer at the standalone VR attraction Yullbe Pro.
New area, Croatia
But as far as it can be said right away, even if it looks like the announcement wasn’t going to come out this morning, there will be something new. The new rollercoaster will see the light of day. If Roland Mack, the park’s owner, and his son Michael, the associate manager, don’t want to reveal too much information to “keep the suspense,” this new super attraction is still said to be a rollercoaster, “obviously” designed and built by Mac House in Germany. It would be “comparable to a Silver Star” and “it would be tall”. The rest is still top secret. However, the image of the car, which could include up to fifteen people, was shown for a moment on the giant screen of the presentation.
Another major announcement, this roller coaster will be located in a completely new theme area of the theme park, Croatia. The area in place of the giant satellite dish, Dome of Dreams and Flight of Icarus, adjacent to the Russian province, has been dismantled in recent months, thus raising the mystery of what was to replace this somewhat aging sector of the park.
Rendez-vous is presented on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 March at the Europa-Park which is introducing itself for the first time a “pre-opening weekend” while the official season will begin on 26 March.
