The experience, called “Dao Ho,” is based on a traditional court game that was popular during the Nguyen Dynasty (1802-1945), the last feudal dynasty in Vietnam. It involves skillfully throwing long arrows into a jar at a certain distance. The rules are not complicated but the game requires great precision to achieve victory.
Up to eight players can compete simultaneously while wearing VR headsets. In the coming times, the center plans to continue collaborating with partners to innovate and provide more immersive VR experiences for tourists in the “Explore the Lost Imperial City” program.
In the first half of 2024, the number of tourists in the central province was estimated at more than 1.9 million, up 24% year-on-year, including more than 821,000 foreigners. Tourism revenue was estimated at more than VND4,000 billion (US$157.3 million), up nearly 11% year-on-year. The center alone sells an average of 10,000 tickets per day.
