Good news for smartphone trainers: The Pokémon World Championship will include “Pokémon Go” as one of their specialties for the first time in 2022. So now smartphone game fans are also fighting for the official Pokémon crown. But there’s still a long way to go until then: First, aspiring coaches should celebrate January 2022 on their calendar – that is, when the scoring for the Championship Series begins.
This is how recording works
Anyone who achieved “legend” status in Season 9 of GO-Kampfliga will benefit from earlier admission. All other interested parties are allowed to fill in the remaining blanks. To register, you must have an account with “Pokémon Trainer Club” and “Play! Pokémon Player ID”. The club account must also be linked to your “Pokémon GO” account. ATTENTION: Players must establish this connection by the end of 2021 in order to be able to participate in the tournament next year.
The fight for the World Cup ticket
There are calls for world championships for the best placements in regional and international tournaments. Anyone who makes it to the final in a regional tournament gets a ticket to the World Cup. The winner will be compensated for his travel expenses. International tournaments guarantee the participation of the four semi-finalists in the World Cup, where the contestants travel at the expense of the organizer.
Two chances in Germany
German Pokemon trainers are in a particularly good position: two tournaments are held in this country. The European International Championships will take place from 22-24 April at Messe in Frankfurt am Main. The German regional championship will follow in May 2022 – exact dates and venue yet to be decided. Europe also has a third qualifying tournament to offer: the Regional Championships in Liverpool on March 26-27.
