As a result, the company failed, despite ten years of development of the S-band mobile satellite communications project.
After the government company received the frequencies, it never implemented the project.

Roscosmos now has frequencies in other bands for organizing communicative radio links, carrying out space operations service functions and receiving data from marine automatic identification systems (AIS). Within the framework of the mobile satellite service, the frequencies 312-315 MHz (Earth-to-space) and 387-390 MHz (space-to-Earth) have been allocated.
