Early in the June 2021 Xbox and Bethesda games show, Bethesda announced plans to celebrate the 10th anniversary of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim It should. Later in the year, we learned that the RPG released on November 11, 2011 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC would get a version with exclusive content, but also an improvement for Xbox Series X | S and PlayStation. 5.

As the developer has already mentioned, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition will make use of several creations to expand the gaming experience. Among them, we can count on four contents that will bring variety as you (re)discover. From Skyrim:
- Saints and Seducers will introduce an entirely new story, as well as new weapons, artifacts, and even enemies.
- Rare Curios will make it possible to source new ingredients thanks to the nomadic lifestyle of Khajit. They will sell items from all over Tamriel to deliver your best potions. Like good thieves, they will also have stones in their luggage that have never been seen before in Skyrim.
- Survival mode risks disrupting the Dragonborn’s habits, as the latter will now have to worry about a cold, but also make sure they don’t have an empty stomach. In the worst case scenario, you may be tricked into stealing if you can’t raise enough money to rest in a bar.
- Between a few fights, a small fishing trip is not refused! The ability to fish allows you to introduce 20 different fish found in all the water bodies in Skyrim and then cook them, offer them as trophies, or even put them in an aquarium! Of course, there will be new missions related to hunting in the game.
Lots of news from the creation club
Without claiming that each one is as individual as the above additions, the entire Creation Club catalog has arrived in this new version of Skyrim!
Thus, players will be able to enjoy a whole host of new features, such as weapons, armor, horses, mini-quests or even new enemies. A special mention to the Ghost of the Tribunal that will introduce 12 weapons and armor from The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind or The Cause that will put you in front of an enemy seeking to open the door to oblivion, the opportunity to introduce a lot of new features!
This massive free update will arrive with Skyrim optimized for Xbox Series X | S and PlayStation 5. We don’t have specific information about this fix at this time.
Concert to celebrate the event
Finally, to celebrate in style this game’s 10th anniversary that would mark many a gamer, a concert will be given by the London Symphony Orchestra. It will be streamed for free on Bethesda’s Youtube channel and Twitch on November 11th at 8pm CET.
The London Symphony Orchestra and the London Voices Choir take a musical journey into the heart of Skyrim for this special concert at the historic Alexandra Palace Theatre.
