Soon the Mona Lisa appears in Gozon (Cruz).

From September you can admire works from the Louvre, the Musée d’Orsay or the Palace of Versailles in Gozon.

The city has just received thirty tablets and fifteen virtual reality headsets that will allow the general public to plunge into a huge virtual art gallery. Micro-folie digital museum is located in the Gouzon cinema.

Installed in cinema seats

Sitting comfortably in the red velvet armchairs, viewers will see on the big screen the treasures of the twelve national cultural institutions.

. The works are digitized with very high accuracy.

If they are interested in a painting, they can click on the tablet to see details or get more information about Paint. “For example, we can enlarge the nose of the Mona Lisa,” says Martin Dorrell Braque, a member of the city council in Gozon and chair of the Cultural Heritage Committee. Fun content for children is planned.Thematic visits will also be possible with a cultural moderator or teacher.

This project is coordinated by La Villette, led by the Ministry of Culture. The digital museum collections have grown since the launch of the Little Clums: they now bring together partners at the regional level (Hauts-de-France Collection), local and even international (European royal residences).

Bringing culture closer to the region

It was Martin Dorrell Braque who proposed the idea of creating a Micro-folie in Gouzon last year, during the municipal election campaign. The project was realized very quickly.

“I was fascinated by the idea and the way it works,” says Cyril Victor, the city’s mayor. Exporting access to major museums and galleries, which are mainly found in big cities, bringing them closer to the region and to everyone, via digital technology, I find this fascinating. Not everyone can go to Paris. And the limitless digital aspect is interesting. “

For the general public and schools

The project is also being implemented in conjunction with National Education. Students in schools and colleges will benefit from this educational tool with multiple possibilities. “It is a culture for everyone, through participatory workshops, meetings with artists, and artistic practices,” adds Martin Dorrell Braquet. The contents are not limited to painting and sculpture. There is also a large place dedicated to music, dance and science …

Virtual reality headsets will undoubtedly allow access to the youngest. Thanks to its partnership with Arte, it allows you to experience amazing or wonderful adventures. “You can go to a place like Versailles, swim with the sharks, and visit a country on a train,” explains a city councilor. The groups are already integrated into the helmet and there is also access to everything we find online in virtual reality. “

Opening in September

Equipment will be tested in June. It is scheduled to open to the public in September (entrance to the museum will be free). The municipality of Gozon may call on a civil service or apprentice to take care of the reception and work of the structure. Elected officials will provide assistance on a voluntary basis.
In the future, Gouzon’s Micro-folie will occupy two places: the cinema and the new socio-cultural room to be built in front of the multi-purpose room.

A third digital museum can see the light of day in Creuse: in the small Italian-style theater in Guéret.

Cost

The investment is not very high. The cost is € 37,000 tax inclusive, 80% state subsidized (DSIL).
