Summer in the Aude: Visit Carcassonne with the mobile app

Thanks to the free mobile application “Carcassonne Interactive”, launched by the city in partnership with the local tourist office, it is possible to discover Carcassonne and its surroundings on foot or by bike.

Smartphone in hand, you will be able to discover Carcassonne through the free application available on the App Store and Google Play, launched by the city in partnership with the municipal tourist office: “Carcassonne Interactive”. It is thus possible to discover many sites in the Aude department: the Bastide Saint-Louis, Lake Cavayère and its biodiversity through a game, and of course the medieval city through an escape game. You must be on site to start each activity.

This application also allows you to discover Carcassonne through hiking trails, running routes and mountain bike tours (VTC). The more than 130 km of road bike paths, whose route extends outside the city, will also take you to discover the Aude department.

Two circuits have also been created in Bastide Saint-Louis and the Medieval City to allow people in wheelchairs, with manual or electric assistance, to discover these unique places.

Activities generally last 1-2 hours, are free to access and are open 24 hours a day. They are open to the general public. The Escape Game at Cité is only recommended for those over 14 years of age.
