Microsoft’s SwiftKey Beta has added a new ability to sync your Android phone’s clipboard with your Windows PC. The new feature was rolled out as part of a recent update to one of the best keyboard apps for Android.
Cloud clipboard sync can help you save time when entering text, and it’s easy to use, especially if you’re used to switching between your computer and mobile device. With SwiftKey Beta version 7.8.5.3, copying copied text across all your devices can seem easy.

If you want to give it a try, you need to get the latest SwiftKey Beta and sign in with your Microsoft account (this won’t work with your work Microsoft mail account or Gmail). To enable the feature on top Android phones, you can simply go to the app’s settings, hit Enter Rich and choose Clipboard. Then you can toggle the “Sync clipboard history to the cloud” option. The same functionality has always been available to Samsung Galaxy S20 and S21 owners through the Your Phone app.

Additionally, it is important to activate the feature on your Windows PC by opening Settings and clicking on the Clipboard section. From there, you need to enable the Clipboard History and Sync across all devices options. To view the copied text, you can press the Windows key and V at the same time.
This feature only keeps your clipboard history for an hour (excluding pinned texts) and only the last copied clip will appear in the SwiftKey prediction bar. If you are concerned about your privacy, Microsoft has noted that the data in your Clipboard is encrypted and will not be associated with your Microsoft account. You can download the updated beta version of SwiftKey from the Play Store and try it out, although there is no information yet on the stable version of the channel.

After beta testing in August, SwiftKey Keyboard’s clipboard history sync is rolling out to everyone.
Microsoft’s latest keyboard app update allows you to copy and paste text between your Android phone and your Windows laptop. It’s available on Windows 10 devices running the October 2018 Update or later, as well as Windows 11, according to MSPoweruser.
You will need to enable the feature manually, though, as it is not enabled by default. To do this, you can go to the SwiftKey Settings menu, go to “Rich Entry”, and then choose “Clipboard”. You will see an option to toggle “Sync clipboard history”.
On your Windows laptop, just open the settings menu and then find the clipboard in the system section. From there, you can enable the clipboard history option.
