Hôpital Sourire, whose office is located in Cahors, has been working with the Figeac Hospital Center for the past 3 years. Its volunteer teams are the origin of projects that aim to improve patients’ daily lives. The association initially focused more on childcare, and now also works with the elderly. “At Figeac, it all started with an individual intention. With this agreement, we wanted to formalize this approach. This will allow us to highlight the actions that have been implemented and encourage donations for the benefit of this association. The fact that we now have a reference based in La Capelle-Marival will facilitate and strengthen Our links”, outlines Raphael Lagarde, Director of the Hospital Center. In order to reassure young patients, toys have been made available in the emergency department. Likewise, the Hôpital Sourire accompanies the children in the hospital by helping to equip the rooms. In Cahors, virtual reality headsets have been provided to the hospital to entertain and relax children while they are cared for. It also funds events in nursing homes.
