Mobile phone problems in Noërs, far from Longuyon, do not go back to today. The mayor explains: “In 2008, the operator Orange proposed installing an antenna to get the Noërs out of the disadvantaged area. Then Orange obtained all the necessary permits to do this work, except for the budget. The first proposal to install it on the church in the middle of the disadvantaged area was rejected by those who denounced Today the inaction of the local communities. Then several sites were proposed. In the face of opposition from “electricity sensitive” activists from the Robin des Toits association, the operator decided to postpone the implementation of the operation. »
The years pass. “After a discussion with Orange in 2016, the municipality obtained from the operator a renewal of the lease in order to materialize its studies,” continues the elected official. The land remained available near the water tower until 2018. But that year, Orange permanently relinquished the land reserve by terminating its lease.
There is nothing but priority
In 2018, the state formed project teams responsible for working in white disadvantaged areas. The new measurements, which were conducted by the Design Office with the authority of Department 54, were carried out in November 2018 according to the recommendations of the state-approved system: four weeks of measurements were made in the territory. The results were shown to state services, and Noërs was not a priority.
Jean-Pierre Jacques explains: “The state’s forecasts set us back several years to equip us in Nors. Prosecutors have rejected all interim solutions.”
Then, in December 2019, the mayor proposed that a new relay tower be installed by TDF on behalf of the Free on the Jeaumonbois website. At the time, the team wrote: “I don’t think the TDF project solves the Noërs problem. It would be the real solution [de refuser] TDF Building Permit for Jeaumonbois Tower and [de] Convince them to install it near the water tower on the site planned for 2013. Norris, Canadian residence, Val Fleury will be completely covered, but also Longueuen. I honestly think that installing a tower in Jeaumonbois is completely useless and a waste of money because Longuyon is not in the White District.”
Tower in Jeaumonbois
A town hall meeting was therefore held, at the request of Jean-Pierre Jacques, for the edifice project, on Thursday 9 January with a TDF technician to obtain confirmation that the installation would meet the needs of the Noërs. It’s confirmed: Noërs will be well served thanks to this new relay tower. But on January 23, the congregation persisted and wrote to the deputy prefect asking him to intervene with these terms: “This relay column will be installed opposite Noërs, which is 2,850 meters from the center of the village, the furthest from the village among the four successions covering Longuyon. , and thus there is almost no chance of covering the village of Nur. The residents of Nur, whom we represent, will not understand that 4And the An antenna has been installed in Longuyon in a location that does not allow the village of Noërs to leave the white area. »
Finally, the mayor gave his permission for the project to install a tower in Jeaumonbois and considers it to have solved the Noërs phone problem.
