iFixit has got its hands on Apple’s new M1-powered MacBook Air and MacBook Pro, of course its team He disconnected the laptops to find out what was inside. And, when Wind And this Pro Have set new standards for performance and performance, which turns out to be entirely due to the M1 chip instead of any specific design changes.
Take the new MacBook Pro, for example. This year’s Intel based model is on the left, the new M1 version is on the right:
The internal configurations of the two computers are almost identical. IFixit mentions that the M1 model uses the same fan components as its Intel predecessor, for example, it actually takes home the performance of the M1 chip considering the difference in noise levels between the two computers.
Meanwhile, the MacBook Air is very similar to the Intel version, but the fan is completely omitted. Considering that computers now use identical processors, iFixit expressed a little surprise that the design of the Air and Pro was no longer integrated, but Apple’s design focus here was clearly on replacing the M1 with its current products.
