According to the journalist Jordan Midler From VGC, Square Enix has decided to stop the betrayals at Sony by making new Final Fantasy games exclusive to PlayStation for a long time to come. This is what he says:
Most of the Square stuff will end on Xbox, but I’m not going to have any hopes of Final Fantasy unless something changes. Sony wants PlayStation to be the home of this generation’s Final Fantasy. Final Fantasy VII should have already arrived on Xbox by now, but that’s where we are today…
