After launching Coverage Map on its Speedtest Android app and then increasing its resolution, Meteor now includes 5G coverage.
The only thing missing is 5G to get a full coverage map on the Meteor app, and it’s now done. You can now update your Android app to discover 5G coverage with all the operators near you.
Thus, it is possible to compare the coverage of the two different operators, thanks to the color shades that range from red for poor performance to green for good coverage. You can either move around on the map or search directly for a city via the small custom logo. And this is not all since a new appearance in the new version 1.30 of the application, is the possibility to perceive the level of coverage and signal strength at street level. Hence the map is gaining in precision.
Note that it is possible to participate to expand this card, by collecting and sharing your coverage data and statistics of your operators. You are then instructed to enable location data collection in your smartphone settings. In doing so, you will become a “superuser”.
