What does the future of Windows look like, which Microsoft will present at a large-scale event on June 24? Users already got the answer today: after the supposedly original screenshots first appeared on the Internet, there is now a whole build of the new Windows as a download: and speaking of Windows 11.

The user interface is reminiscent of Windows 10x
The user interface of the new operating system, which will very likely be called Windows 11, reminds us of what Microsoft showed off Windows 10X at the end of 2019 – however, Windows 10X was removed from the roadmap in May. Instead, a major design update for Windows 10, Project Sun Valley, should be prioritized. Perhaps Windows 11 has been behind this for a long time, or Sun Valley is still being released for Windows 10. However, there is still no clarity on this point at the moment.
Many questions remain open
The path Microsoft will take visually with Windows 11 seems clear. What distinguishes “Windows 11” from Windows 10 and when it will be published is not yet available. Microsoft should clarify both points by June 24 at the latest.
