One of the differences when Windows 11 was launched is its requirements. For many users, they are very demanding, because they prohibit updating computers from 2016 or earlier. But Microsoft still allows updating with changes in the registry.
But it seems Microsoft wants to make it clear that this method is not recommended. That’s why they’ve added warnings in the latest builds of the Insider program for PCs that don’t meet the minimum requirements.
Windows 11 will notify us with a watermark if you are using an unsupported PC
Twitter user Albacore We reported a few days ago a change that went unnoticed, while it was not reported in the changelog in the latest release. Apparently, Microsoft has added a new watermark on the desktop, as well as a notification in the settings if you are using an unsupported computer.

This type of desktop notification is reminiscent of the watermark used in Windows Vista and later to indicate that Windows has not been activated. Fortunately, even with these new warnings popping up, users have reported that Windows continues to work normally on unsupported PCs.
Currently, these new guidelines will not prevent more experienced users from continuing to use Windows 11 on unsupported PCs. It’s also possible that tools created by community users appear to hide all traces of these warnings on unsupported computers.
