Many gamers are experiencing significant connectivity issues on Xbox and with Microsoft's online service, Xbox Live. Xbox Aftermarket has confirmed a major outage that has been ongoing since early evening. Gamers may be experiencing difficulty logging in or playing certain games.
Major drop in progress on Xbox
When there is an Xbox Live outage, we see it immediately on the Xbox Live status page. Xbox has just updated its statuses, and there is a problem in progress.
You may not be able to sign in to your Xbox profile, be signed out while signing in, or experience other similar issues. Features that require connectivity, such as most games, apps, and social activities, will not be available.
There are many of you who will not be able to play on Xbox this evening. If you are experiencing technical issues, please know that the teams are already aware of them and are working to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, we don’t know how long this will take. The issue was discovered around 8pm and at 10:10pm, the Xbox team says they still need to investigate further.
