Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop 2 Pro Robot Vacuum Test: it’s time for the pros!

Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop 2 Pro sucks well on hard floors and luxurious carpets. On the other hand, on a thicker rug, it’s not strong enough to absorb a litter-strewn floor.

In fact, in this test area, placed in the standard position, it was only able to absorb 24% of the residues in 4 minutes. With Turbo mode activated, it doesn’t work as well as it goes superficially on the carpet and absorbs only 21% of the material in 3 minutes 55 seconds. In comparison, theEcofax Depot T9 + He succeeded in sweeping 84% of the waste in the same test area.

On solid ground, on the other hand, the Xiaomi robot absorbs up to 90% of waste in 3 minutes 46 seconds in Standard mode and 97% in Turbo mode at the same time, the results are very similar on a fine carpet. Recovers 96% of material in 5 minutes 22 seconds in Standard mode and 94% of waste in 3 minutes with Turbo mode.

washing efficiency

We do not systematically test all robotic vacuum cleaners equipped with a mop to deliver a washing mode. However, the Mi Robot Vacuum-Mop 2 Pro has a sonic vibration system – like the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra – that is supposed to clean up stains on the floor better.

So we decided to reproduce the protocol we normally maintain for floor mopping robots to see if this mop function is effective. Obviously, this is not really the case.

We smeared soda, oil, lipstick, and carbon black on our lab floor and let those stains dry overnight.

The next morning, through the application, we launched the washing mode of our robot. The latter had to pass and pass over patches on the ground, but they struggled to disappear. After three passes, we noticed a small speck of carbon black was gone, but the squeegee left black streaks on the floor instead. The lipstick didn’t move an iota despite the robot’s repeated passes. Only the grease stain was finally gone.
