A robbery took place on July 24, at about 2.45 am, near the park in the “Voss’scher Garten” in Witten. A 33-year-old man from Hagen was physically attacked by three unknown assailants and had his cell phone stolen. Fortunately, his companion (also 30-year-old from Hagen) was unharmed. The police are urgently looking for witnesses.
As far as we know, both people from Hagen were walking at the Richtstrasse/Schillerstrasse intersection. Suddenly three men attacked the 33-year-old. The man from Hagen was hit in the head by an unknown object. He lost the bag he was carrying with his cell phone. The three fled to Witten using their cell phones.
Hagner was shot in the head. An ambulance took him to the hospital.
The three suspects are said to be about 178 centimeters tall and appear to be “southern”. One of the men was wearing a white shirt with a headscarf. Another was wearing a black leather jacket.
Witnesses are asked to call the Witten Criminal Police Office (KK 33) at 0234909-8305 or outside office hours at Ext.-4441 (Bochumer Kriminalwache).
