On the morning of Sunday (November 28), Federal Police officers noticed two men on an ICE train from Cologne to Berlin trying to steal from a Berlin woman. Officers arrested the men at the station in Dortmund Central Station and found other stolen goods.
At about 6:45 am, Federal Police officers were on ICE 843 from Cologne in the direction of Berlin-Gisundbrunnen. Civilian forces were able to notice the attention paid by two men (29, 33) to the belongings of a woman who was sleeping. Together they tried to get the woman from her Berlin cell phone when she noticed the crime and was taken aback.
The Federal Police immediately intervened, temporarily detaining the men and taking them to the guard at the next stop at Dortmund Central Station. While searching, emergency services found pepper spray in the jacket pocket of the 33-year-old from Soest. They made sure of this right away.
