WhatsApp will limit its functionality to those who do not accept the new terms

WhatsApp has revised its original plans to delete the accounts of users who do not agree to share their data with other Facebook applications by a certain date. right Now, It will simply restrict the account’s functionality, making it unusable until you accept the new privacy policies.

WhatsApp announced the changes to the new FAQ. Although it initially planned to delete accounts that did not accept the new policy by May 15th, the company is now announcing that it will start restricting what you can do with your account. According to BleepingComputer, These limits will start by restricting access to the chat list.

Users will still be able to receive notifications and phone calls, but they will not be able to access the history of previous conversations.

After a few weeks, WhatsApp says it will increase the restrictions on accounts, and eventually stop incoming calls or notifications as well. You will be able to remove restrictions and continue using the account by accepting the new privacy policy, which allows the messaging app to share your data with other Facebook apps.

Unfortunately, concerns about deleting WhatsApp accounts have not completely disappeared. The company’s current policy states that it will go into effect after 120 days. If the account is inactive for a long time, it will be deleted completely. So, The only way to dismiss this issue completely is to accept the changes to WhatsApp’s updated Privacy Policy.

According to the updated policy, acceptance will allow WhatsApp to share content such as your phone number, account information, transaction data, IP address, and more. The company says it will not share messaging data, such as conversation logs, with Facebook.
