Montpellier Town Hall wants to get closer to its residents thanks to the PanelPocket mobile app. “This simple and effective system immediately alerts citizens to every alert and information from Town Hall, via a notification on smartphones and tablets,” explains Mayor Pierre Terbant. The app designers came up with the idea of enhancing communication and social connections in the municipality. Citizens as well as residents of neighboring municipalities will have online access to county alerts and orders, weather alerts, network disconnects, business, town hall, daily events and demonstrations, etc. Thus, from home or on the go, at work or on vacation, residents stay in touch with the news of their municipality.
PanelPocket brings together in a single application the entities that are part of a citizen’s “ecosystem”. Citizens prefer what interests them: municipalities, municipal authorities, water unions, household waste treatment, schools, police stations. As a free download, the app does not require any account creation or personal data. It is also available from a computer on the site www.app.panneaupocket.com, in order to be accessible to everyone.
