On Tuesday, November 2, 2021, members of the Kewan family led by their boss Frank Blanchard went to the pediatric department at Bayeux Hospital to meet pediatricians Veronique Marie and Coraline Brulet. The Kiwan family donated €1,450 to the Picsou Pédiatrie association.

This amount is the result of a wine sale that took place in December 2020, a process that the Kiwanis Association renews every year that allows for the provision of toys or equipment intended for children in hospitals. 1,450 euros will be used to improve living conditions and care for children through the purchase of a virtual reality headset for teenagers (450 euros) and high-performance equipment (1,000 euros).
“Reduce stress for young patients”
“This donation will be used to purchase an intravenous illuminator,” Dr. Veronique Marie explains. “This advanced equipment makes it easier for health professionals to quickly find pediatric veins to be infused, for example. The speed of movement reduces fatigue for young patients. This vein diffuser can also be used in other services, such as resuscitation.”
Pediatricians were delighted with the arrival of this new equipment in the pediatric department at Bayeux.
